"Who's this guy?"
THE SCRIPT, SO FAR, OF ISAAC ENSEL (A BIO).
Scene 1
Setting: Bath, Maine
Cinematic time: 18 years
[all of this information will be condensed into a 4 minute montage]

We find Isaac growing up as one of the only Jews in a small town on the coast of Maine called Bath. He spent his youth biking around his town and introducing himself to neighbors and interacting with visitors. He also participated in community theater. His mother was a local politician and his father ran a peace non-profit. Isaac, at a young age, developed the passion and understanding in having community engagement. Volunteering and campaigning became second nature.

In his public high school, Morse, his mascot was the shipbuilder because of the naval shipyard that took up half of his town. Isaac spent his high school days involved in everything until the cultural shift of the pandemic. This added to his character development and created the phrase: “change is just another excuse for an opportunity.” With this in mind while living in a virtual, online world he started to create videos in the community. This was the spark. Isaac found that videos had the capability to positively impact many and forge community connections.

In addition to this, along with his parents and brother, Isaac owned a candy shop in the small coastal town. Through this family owned business with every truffle or licorice Isaac sold he often made a connection. Connections that lead to future opportunities. It was through these transactions at the candy shop where Isaac heard about Ithaca College.

Scene 2
New setting: Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY
Cinematic time: Present Day

Present day, we find that Isaac carries the values he learned in his small town as he builds his passion for telling stories. As a Documentary Studies major with a Political Science minor he has been trying out diverse approaches to the things he loves, capturing and informing about people's experiences. He has made podcasts, taken photos, created short films and has even caught a fly during an interview with his left hand.

Aside from being involved with many clubs on campus, Isaac was accepted into the Park Scholar Program, which aligns with his values of helping others through different services and media. Although his story arc is just beginning, he looks forward to connections and characters that will change him along the way.

Commencement Speech
As simple as it sounds I feel like questions and curiosity are the components to the reaching incredible opportunities in life. I was honored to deliver this message to my high school class and home town community as the commencement speaker. Go Shipbuilders!
Beth Israel 100 Year Anniversary Speech
At one point I was the only Jewish kid at my high school. However we had a parade and ceremony that celebrated 100 years of our small town jewish community and our temple. I talked about the importance of the temple and the people surrounding it.
Catching a Fly in an Interview
I often conduct many interviews. But it was during the interview at the VEGAN restaurant Moosewood where I caught a fly mid interview. I ask the deep questions while I kill the bugs that bother the story.
